Why is Nancy Pelosi's forehead so tight? She looks like an "after" picture from "when plastic surgery attacks!".
I seem to be the only person angry with Barak Obama about his "moving to the middle" statements regarding the left being to far from the right. Politicians should not be required to attend church to get elected and the Left should never move to the middle - do you think the Right would budge?
Is the Playstation 3 the most over-hyped disappointment of the year? Is Blu-Ray the next Betamax? It seems so. I used to have a Beta and praised its quality right up until I could no longer find tapes for it.
Is Sufjan Stevens for real? The new folk movement is in full swing thanks to his terrific albums Illinois and Michigan. Will Oregon be as good? His Christian album background seems to be fading based on analysis of his lyrics (check out Pulaski carefully). He *does* live in Brooklyn now...
Did anyone see Beck perform on SNL? His second set with dinner table silverware and puppets was a great performance.
Is anyone as stoked about the new Shins album as I am? The first single, *Phantom Limb* is pretty good stuff.
Where would *Borat II* take place? America has been so Sacha Baron Coen saturated that everyone knows his face, no matter what character he is.
Wasn't *Borat* funny? I thought so.
Is *The Fountain* going to get a cult following like it should. It seems like the most misunderstood film in quite a while. It's rare to see a labor of love quite as strange, beautiful and complicated.
*Pirates of the Caribbean II* wasn't nearly as good as I'd hoped.
Is *Lost* completely falling apart? I might just stop watching it entirely when it returns in 2007. Did Echo really have to die?
Is *Battlestar Galactica* just getting better and better? The past 2 episodes have been throwaway but I was glad to see a former CAG croak.
I just wonder where the Baltar story line is going. Could they have spent a little more money on the interior set of the cylon Basestar? It looks like the back of a Spencer's Gifts.
Has the real estate bubble burst? Will the economy burst with it once all those loans are defaulted on? I have mixed feelings. I obviously don't want the economy to collapse but the real estate prices need to get under control.
I hate Bush more than ever. I hate people who voted for him. I have a lot of hate in my heart I guess. I don't think that we have any idea how bad it's going to get. The repercussions of the Bush dictatorship have yet to be fully realized. It could be decades before we truly know how bad his empire was.
On a lighter note, I just saved a bunch of money on car insurance by switching to Geico.

I think many people agree about the three country solution, but Turkey and others will not accept Kurdistan easily.

I haven't noticed Obama moving to the middle. But if he is saying those things, no doubt he is trying to distance himself from other african american politicians liek Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.
So far none of the "Next Gen" consoles look good to me...with the possible exception of the Wii. As long as I don't club myself to death.
I like Sufjan. His music is top notch and I don't get turned off to spiritual music...only preachy music. His Noel CD box set is good stuff.
Haven't seen Beck recently, but I hear his puppet tour thing is way cool. His new album is great.

Lost. I abandoned ship with that shitty "cliff-hanger". Sad, I *really* like this show, but they have completely removed the mystery and killed the entire series for me. Huge shame.
BSG is the best show on TV. This is what happens when writers have vision. The story arcs rock. I completely disagree with your "throwaway" statement. The last two episodes were awesome. Just because they don't mention "Earth" doesn't mean they don't fit in the story arc. They explained so much about the motivations for the friction we have been seeeing and not clearly understanding. The mysterious 5 cyclons thing is killing me.
Bah. I hate economics.
